POSITION DESCRIPTION
Senior SME Credit Analyst reviews all SME credit applications to ensure that the risk of customer onboarded is within the bank's risk appetite.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Assessing the loan application risk and creditworthiness included financial information, credit report, CBC inquiry report and other relevant data to mitigate risk.
- Communicating with relevant parties to gather the necessary information to make a decision and recommend it to the upper level for decision.
- Ensuring the application meets the internal policies and eligibility requirements of each program or promotion.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and economic conditions and suggesting better practices, if any, from other financial institutions.
- Maintaining good quality in credit evaluation and imposing appropriate risk mitigations.
- Ensuring all information in the credit memo is accurate and maintaining prompt turn-around time.
- Doing site visits for some suspicious cases or as required by the direct manager.
- Providing coaching and training to junior credit analysts.
- Providing training to branches whenever suggested by related stakeholders.
- Cooperating with the head department and Credit Manager to solve any issues in the team.
- Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the line manager and management.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Economics, or a similar related field.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in credit or lending within the banking sector or MFI.
- Proficient English language, both written and spoken.
- Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and a strong sense of team spirit.
- Good command of computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email.
- Able to travel to province for site visits customer's business.
- Flexible and well perform as problem solver.
- High commitment and ability to work under pressure.
