Phnom Penh — Canadia Bank, Cambodia’s largestlocally-owned commercial bank, has partnered with TADA Cambodia, the country’spioneering zero-commission ride-hailing platform, through a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating digital payment adoption, expandingfinancial inclusion, promoting EV adoption, and enhancing safety for Cambodia’sdriver community.
This collaboration marks a significant step towardstrengthening Cambodia’s mobility ecosystem by providing electric vehicle (EV)transportation to Canadia Bank staff and introducing seamless cashless paymentsolutions for TADA drivers, many of whom depend on ride-hailing as theirprimary source of income.
Under the agreement, Canadia Bank and TADA Cambodiawill collaborate to promote the use of electronic vehicles and explore theQR-based payment system among drivers, enabling them to receive paymentssecurely and conveniently from customers. This initiative not only improvesefficiency and transparency for drivers but also supports the Royal Governmentof Cambodia’s vision for a cashless, digitally connected economy, whileupholding the vision for net-zero emissions
