POSITION DESCRIPTION
Manager, Server and Storage is responsible for managing servers and data center operations as assigned by Head of IT Infrastructure. The role also serves as the IT representative for data center, sensor, email, physical system, and data center projects.
This position requires collaboration with internal users, head of IT infrastructure, and IT teams to ensure smooth daily operations and effective IT service delivery. The role includes planning, maintenance, security compliance, and ensuring high availability of server and data center infrastructure to support continuous business operations (24/7).
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Receive and review user and IT team requests for support and management approval.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for IT infrastructure requirements. Supervise and manage all servers and data center enhancement projects. Maintain and support email systems, digital document management systems, phone systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Manage hybrid infrastructure integration between on-premises systems and cloud platforms to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance. Oversee cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent), including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Ensure server health through regular patching, updates, and upgrades.
- Validate and support new server requests from other teams.
- Provide technical support for internal and external audit requests.
- Ensure all on-premises and cloud systems are working smoothly.
- Deliver weekly and monthly IT reports to the head of IT infrastructure.
- Support and provide required information during audit activities.
- Support Head of IT Infrastructure in establishing and improving IT standards, procedures, and policies aligned with best practices.
- Contribute to IT infrastructure planning to ensure timely delivery of IT services and solutions.
- Support infrastructure setup and implementation initiatives.
- Monitor and manage projects to ensure smooth and successful execution.
- Support and oversee day-to-day server and data center operations. Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure performance.
- Ensure timely system renewals and compliance with maintenance deadlines.
- Act as backup for head of IT infrastructure during duty and non-duty periods.
- Support head of IT infrastructure in delivering IT solutions to business units, including Canadia Group if it's necessary.
- Ensure infrastructure services meet business operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, laws, codes, guidelines, and standards issued by regulatory authorities and the Bank.
- Adhere to established risk control procedures to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor operational risks.
- Support internal control and compliance activities related to infrastructure operations.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a recognized university; or equivalent professional certification with relevant practical experience in a sector covered with the following:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure, server, and data center environments.
- Proven experience in Data Center and Disaster Recovery (DR) site operations, server monitoring and reporting, and maintenance of enterprise applications and server systems.
- Experience in IT infrastructure project implementation and support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows client and Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, and Solaris.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Oracle Linux KVM, and Solaris LDOM & zoning.
- Knowledge of VoIP, PABX systems (including 0365 setup), and Kubernetes configuration.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and infrastructure configuration.
- Experience with Oracle Exadata implementation is an advantage.
- Solid experience supporting cloud infrastructure platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalents.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid environment integration between on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Experience in cloud migration planning and execution
- Understanding of proposal preparation, Service Level Agreement (SLA) management, and budgeting processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good project coordination and monitoring capability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Khmer, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
- Be able to travel in place (Phnom Penh/Province) when and where the work is assigned.
