POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Senior Corporate Credit Manager is responsible for assessing, recommending, and presenting corporate credit applications to the management of the Credit Management Division, and/or Credit Committee, exercising prudent credit measures consistent with the Bank's credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory standards.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Conduct comprehensive and independent credit assessment for corporate credit application, ensuring thorough evaluation in line with the Bank's applicable policies and guidelines.
- Review, assess, recommend, and present corporate credit applications to the management of the Credit Management Division and, where applicable the Credit Committee for approval.
- Conduct credit due diligence and site visits as required.
- Provide analytical support and guidance to business units in identifying, assessing, and managing corporate credit risks, ensuring alignment with the Bank's risk appetite and objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of credit officers and analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering ongoing development to enhance credit assessment quality and overall team performance.
- Support the maintenance and utilization of the Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Corporate Credit and Head of Credit Management Division.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum 5 years of relevant credit and banking experience, with a strong focus on corporate credit in commercial banking.
- At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role, demonstrating the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to conduct sound assessments of credit risks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in MS-Word and Excel, with a working knowledge of loan origination and relevant credit systems.
- Excellent command of English, with the ability to prepare comprehensive and well-structured credit proposals.
- Able to travel to provinces for site visits.
