POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a SME Relationship Officer will be in charge of loans exceeding $200K, evaluating potential customers, overseeing and managing loans for the bank's product and service sales through the acquisition of new customers, and strengthening bank ties with existing customers for the SME Lending Department.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Identify and/or assess potential customers through collecting, analyzing, and developing appropriate information necessary for loan assessment.
- Promotes and pushes cross-selling of bank products and services to both existing and new customers.
- Analyze customer financial statements, cash flow, and business viability.
- Conduct site visits and verify business operations, collateral, and ownership.
- Prepare credit proposals / loan applications in line with bank credit policy.
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams for loan approval and disbursement.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance before loan drawdown.
- Prepares loan report as required by supervisor and/or manager.
- Keep a close relationship with customers to make sure their banking needs are satisfied and act to expand their product holdings.
- Resolve every issue and query of the customers related to the loan products and formalities.
- Review the regular credit report and analyze and evaluate the balance of PAR and credit quality.
- Assist the manager to improve staff competency by coaching and mentoring newly hired staff. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 1—2 years' experience in SME/Commercial lending.
- Hands-on experience in customer sourcing and loan processing.
- Good in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is necessarily required.
- Computer literacy, i.e., Khmer and English Typing, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze data and statistics and knowledge of governmental regulations
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios
- Detailed, decisive and analytical
- Strong history of managing loan quality and growing portfolios. Willing to work under pressure and over time.
