POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Post-Mortem Credit Review Officer supports the execution of post-mortem credit reviews to assess the quality of credit decisions. The role contributes to identifying gaps, documenting findings, crediting process improvement, and training and knowledge sharing on the outcome of the reviews.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Conduct post-mortem reviews of selected credit cases within the defined scope of review.
- Review credit files of the review cases to ensure required documentation is present and accurate.
- Support the evaluation of credit decisions made during the origination process against established policies, guidelines, and risk acceptance criteria.
- Assess the accuracy and consistency of risk ratings assigned to the credit cases.
- Identify deviations, exceptions, and process gaps noted during review.
- Coordinate with business units and relevant stakeholders to obtain necessary information and clarification on the review cases.
- Compile review findings and prepare draft reports for management's review.
- Maintain proper records and documentation of all reviewed cases.
- Support credit sharing initiatives and preparation of credit sharing materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in credit, banking operations, credit operations, or related areas.
- Basic understanding of credit analysis, loan documentation, and credit processes is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
