POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Supervisor, IT Process Workflow & QA Engineering, supports the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of IT process workflows, quality assurance (QA) practices, and release assurance across the bank. Working closely with Development, Infrastructure, IT Security, Release Management and Business teams, you will be a hands-on technical lead responsible for day-to-day QA execution, test automation delivery, environment management, and ensuring releases meet the bank's quality and control requirements.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Process Workflow & QA Engineering, the Supervisor will provide operational guidance to QA engineers, release engineers, and process analysts; champion a culture of quality; and help maintain strong, trusted relationships across IT and Business stakeholders to deliver stable, auditable releases.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Support translation of quality and process improvements into measurable, cost-effective QA activities.
- Advise project teams on test effort, environment costs, and automation priorities that impact project budgets.
- Work with vendors and third parties to validate that delivered software meets the bank's acceptance criteria and QA requirements.
- Provide clear, timely updates on release readiness, QA risks, and mitigation plans to project teams and stakeholders.
- Execute and maintain IT QA and process workflow standards: test execution, defect triage, acceptance criteria checks, and release gates. Manage test environment provisioning and data management in coordination with infrastructure and DevOps teams.
- Integrate QA checks into CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates (unit test thresholds, static analysis, integration tests, security scans) are enforced pre-deployment.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach QA analysts, test automation engineers, and release support staff; allocate day-to-day work and monitor progress.
- Promote automation best practices, code quality, test design and collaborative testing with developers
- Provide QA input for project reporting, release approvals, and go/no-go decisions.
- Advise project teams and managers on process roadmap items and quick wins for improving release stability
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures, and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work.
QUALIFICATION
- University graduate, preferably with a major in Computer Science related subjects or equivalent; OR preferable over 3 years' experience in the IT sector.
- 3+ years of experience in QA, test engineering, release management, or IT process roles, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory/lead role.
- Practical experience building and executing test automation, release validation, and environment management in enterprise settings (banking/financial services preferred).
- Exposure to cloud, hybrid, and on-prem technical configurations and test environments.
- Capability to align QA/process activities with PMO, DevOps, and other IT governance functions.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Postman) and API testing.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6) and security testing/tooling (SAST/DAST) is preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English and Khmer);
- Fluency in Chinese language is an added point;
- Strong people skills;
- Self-motivated and good problem-solving skills.
