POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Head of Business Data Analytics is responsible for leading the organization’s business analytics function, transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, performance optimization, and growth. Be able to effectively sort and use the data to generate ideas and recommendations that will lead to more business generation for the Group. This role bridges stakeholders and data teams, ensuring analytics directly supports business priorities and measurable outcomes, and to answer key business questions and help define metrics for success.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Effectively sort and use the data to generate ideas and recommendations that will lead to more business generation for the Group.
- Recommend, develop, and implement a comprehensive data management and analytics strategy for the Group to support the organization's business objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, direction, and support in their day-to-day activities.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources, including internal systems, third-party tools, and market research, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track and measure performance against these metrics.
- Transform complex datasets into actionable insights and strategic recommendations, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive business growth across the Group.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in analytics tools and technologies and evaluate their potential to improve our data analysis capabilities.
- Design, recommend, and execute a comprehensive data management and analytics strategy, including governance initiatives to ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data infrastructure, systems, and tools are optimized to support efficient data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualizations.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making within the organization, promoting the use of analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Plan and optimize technology budgets and investments, including vendor management and contract negotiations.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or BI roles.
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to speak Chinese is an advantage.
- Proven experience leading analytics teams and enterprise-level initiatives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Expertise in SQL, data modeling, statistics, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Deep understanding of business principles and metrics (KPIs).
