Security Tips for Internet Banking

  • Avoid accessing your bank account with public computers.
  • Never disclose your personal security details, eg. account number, PIN or security code to others.
  • Report any unusual transactions in your statement immediately.
  • Canadia Bank will not display your personal information in emails or ask you to confirm any personal data by replying emails.
  • Always keep the electronic receipt fund transfer and bill payment transactions.
  • Memorise your PIN and do not write it down.
  • Select PINs that cannot easily be guessed by anyone.
  • Use different PINs for different websites.
  • Never disclose you PIN to anyone, not even someone claiming to be from the bank.

Security Tips for Mobile Banking

  • Avoid sharing your mobile handsets with others and use your own handset to log on.
  • Do not leave your headset unattended after log on to Mobile Banking. Always log off properly when you are finished with it.
  • Better set up auto-lock and enable passcode lock to prevent unauthorized access of your headsets.
  • Do not install applications on your mobile handsets from mistrusted sources.
  • Do not use any jailbreaken handset which may have security loopholes to log on to Mobile Banking.
  • Do not store your Internet/Mobile Banking username and password on your mobile handsets.
  • When using Wi-Fi connection, use trusted Wi-Fi networks or service providers, if possible.
